What could Sensory Processing Disorder look like in the Early Childhood setting? Sensory Integration (SI) is the ability of the central nervous system to organize and process input from different sensory channels to perform purposeful activities.

Special Needs Track: Classroom Strategies for Working With Children and Families Who Are Experiencing Homelessness (1 hr)

The fastest growing homeless population in the US are families w/ children under the age of 6. During this training, we discuss how to identify and support homeless families in the classroom.

Special Needs Track: Adverse Childhood Experiences and Positive Childhood Experiences (2 hrs)

Participants will learn the goal of ACEs & PCEs is to achieve positive outcomes by mitigating risk & enhancing healthy development & well-being of children & youth.

Special Needs Track: Neonatal Abstinence (2 hrs)

During this training, we will explore substance use disorder, treatment for pregnant women and infants, and strategies to support children with NAS.

Creating Effective Lesson Plans (1 hr)

Many teachers know how to schedule activities, but have trouble connecting these activities with their lesson plans. This course examines how to create effective lesson plans that will resonate in the classroom.
