Planning Using the Approaches to Learning Standard (Birth through 3) (1 hour)

In this session, we will learn about the Approaches to Learning Standard, birth to three, and how to create learning environments that facilitate areas of focus, creativity, and persistence for the children in our care.

Redleaf Family Child Care Curriculum

Foundations for Curriculum and Lesson Planning (1 hr)

In this course, we will look at four aspects of planning: examining individualization, support the expansion of language and activities, extension and excitement around activities, and identifying how long to keep activities moving forward.

Mixed Age Groups (1 hr)

In this session, we will highlight the benefits and challenges of having a mixed age grouping, especially within family child care and lesson planning. We will delve into integrated learning and what that means for planning purposes as well.

Redleaf Family Child Care Curriculum: Assessment and Family Engagement (1 hr)

Participants will learn to recognize the importance of ongoing assessment, examine the Redleaf assessment system, and evaluate the importance of Family Engagement and the Family Companion Edition.

Redleaf Family Child Care Curriculum: Understanding the Needs of Families (1 hr)

This session will focus on developmental domains, and planning with using assessment. Participants will learn to identify guidelines for child growth and development, design lesson plans to meet the range of ages, and organize your planning.
