In family child care, most programs deal with some element of mixed ages. In this session, we will take a deeper dive into some principles around mixed age groupings. Participants will be able to identify the benefits and challenges of mixed age grouping, discuss using the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards, examine strategies for integrated learning, and examine tools and resources for further learning.
