In this installment of understanding and utilizing theory in early childhood classroom, we will learn about Vygotsky’s cognitive theory. Participants will gain an understanding of learning through social interaction, culture and ideas such as the zone of proximal development and scaffolding. The session will include ways to implement Vygotsky’s ideas into classroom assessment and planning.
