Language plays a part in everything we do and for children, developing their language skills plays a crucial role in school readiness and later academic success. This course will explore the importance of language development on school readiness and also provide strategies to help children develop language skills that will set the stage for learning.
Course Objectives:
After this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the role language development plays in school readiness
- Understand the importance of developing language at an early age and the impact it has on academic performance later on
- Implement strategies to assist in language development in the classroom
