Over the past 15 years, our culture has shifted and this shift has brought about a dynamic shift in afterschool child care. In this course, we will discuss how afterschool programs have changed, share ideas for ways to modernize our classrooms, and discuss ways to integrate STEM concepts into your afterschool program.

 Objectives:

  • Be able to identify outdated methods in their afterschool classroom
  • Implement new methods to provide engaging activities for school-age children
  • Design strategies to create more engaging settings for their school-age children
