In this training session, we will become familiar with what cognitive development is by looking at two prominent theories, Piaget and Vygotsky and how these theories apply to Kentucky’s Early Childhood Standard and to planning within our classroom environments for birth to three. We’ll discuss the four benchmarks and activities that will facilitate growth in the cognitive area of development.

  • Identify the benchmarks in the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards
  • Apply standard to lesson planning
