The purpose of the Early Childhood Standards is to provide educators with a guide to preparing children for success in school, starting in infancy through four-year-olds. After taking this session on the Approaches to Learning domains, participants will be able to explain the rationale behind adding Approaches to Learning as a pull-out domain (rather than as an embedded concept across all domains), define Approaches to Learning, explain the developmental continuum of the Approaches to Learning domains, explain how Approaches to Learning support a child’s kindergarten readiness skill development.
