Participants will examine the importance of active listening in order to further the growth of the apprenticeship mentee. The objectives of this course include Defining Active Listening, using phrases and questions that illustrate and model active listening, state reasons why active listening is important, gain an understanding of the emotions surrounding “being heard”, and illustrate ways you can help your mentee feel seen and hear.
